Balancing and other Problems

There is a major issue in balancing and the strengthening of old items using alchem. Why would an item which previously was junk, not be considered a superior item? Example, if I had previously traded a rasiltin's boots for soul toucher's boots plus gold, and now the soul toucher strengthen is a superior item. An item of second tier is now superior, its a big mistake. You should not be able to place a new value (a significantly higher value) on an item that was already introduced into the game. Instead of having that stupid soul toucher's boot have a rediculous 15% speed (+8%) you should have introduced new items that should be upgraded, and not old items. Players have had these crappy boots and have sold them for junk, of in my case even given them away, because they were worthless, but now you make them a superior item. That's awful. If you introduced a new item and then released the strengthen version to a new item that would be acceptable, but placing a new premium on old junk is awful.

Balancing in pets is a major problem, it seems that newer pets are far superior to older pets, however, this should not be the case. Every pet should be equal to the rest (disregarding how the are used for specific builds). Case in point the new blue dragon, its talent is far and away superior, 5 rounds!! Is laughable, instead it should be 2-3 rounds. A demon should not be significantly better than its melee counter-parts in lobo (whose talent lasts only 1 round vs blue dragons 5 rounds) or aardwolf. A demon should not be able to achieve far superior numbers to other pets. Im not saying that some pets shouldn't be better than other pets, there are superior items to other items however, you cannot pay 35 gold for a sword pet and pay 35 gold for a lobo (dragon, fairy, flash, pig) and have that sword be far less superior in skill and stats etc.. A demon and merfolk's base stats should be lowered to 60 not 80 period. The new blue dragon's auto should be lowered to 2-3 rounds instead of its present 5 rounds. Again, the ryouga's base phit needs to be increased above 90, either that or add more +skill hit on its talent.

Ariticer class, is a little rediculous too. Its weapons are far superior to other elite two handed items, especially in speed and hp. They need to be lowered to be balanced with elite items of other classes. I understand you want people to always be upgrading to the new thing, either class or item. To be constantly upgrading to get better than make money but making pets or weapons that are superior to those already out is fine, making them far superior is a joke. People should be buying pets to different situations that are specific to that pets's talents/skills/stats and not because that pet auto (in the case of the blue dragon) is so rediculous it must be used. Tweaks must be made to balance the game, in pets, items, and in particular the upgrading of old items.

You cannot expect players to buy one item and then have an new twist in the game that makes their item less relevant. There is no way old items like ire, soul touchers boots, etc should be on the list of items that are upgradeable. Instead of should introduce new items to the game and them be upgradeable. Make a new boot, and make its stats similar to soul toucher. Don't use a dumb item everyone dropped and sold to npc and make it relevant again. That soul toucher should not be able to be on par with MJ boots, raistlin's boots etc. It is a second tier item and now you want it to be the best boot in the game.

I have a zone silencer character that has a lot of speed, when I use its auto (shaman zone silence auto) why are pets allowed to have their auto's go off? I tried to attack a guy with a melee block pet and his pet was able to block the attack WHY!?! His pet should have been silenced and unable to have his auto go off, like his master's auto is unable to go off! Instead the damn pet blocked my attack, why? His auto should not have worked!!

I recently had a pet with physical shield lvl20 (last 2 rounds) and when a second auto (ele, curse, range, melee block) is used in round 2, the physical sheild is cancelled. I was told by in-game GM that this is the case because you can't have a pet and a master immune to melee attack in round 2. The GM said I cannot make myself invincilbe, but the case is I am not even close to being invincible. I would take damage from ele, curse, range. Why can't I use every skill available to my pet? Why can't I use the skills offered by lakoo, why is there no warning that this cannot be done? Why have the skills avaiable if I am not able to use the skill fully? I just wasted silver to skill my pet to have the auto's that would be amazing, but yet you will not allow my pet to be amazing... instead you want to release a new blue dragon that is far and away over powered, or a new class whereby it's weapons add significant speed and hp (they are not even speciality items, like rose set or spring sword, or a hard item to get like kratos shield or tiger mount) but an item readily found in chests.

    Thanks for sharing, Cots!

As one who has dropped or otherwise disposed of potentially now valuable items, I can understand the potential sense of unfairness to people who got rid of previously less-than-useful items not knowing they would suddenly become useful.  At the same time, I also disliked how some of the previous items (i.e. Soul Toucher Boots) were never used and considered more or less junk items.  I do like how Lakoo made it so that they can now become relevant again through alchemy.  The items is still by itself the same but it can become more valuable through alchemy.  I suspect that while the value of the item increases slightly it is not by itself a huge increase in value and will stabilize in the future as people stop dropping them from chests.

I agree that pets like the Magic Sword and the Lobo/Aardwolf are obsolete.  To some extent, Bears and Pigs are as well.  However, I am not a fan of rebalancing pets.  Many players worked hard to get the new (i.e better) pets.  Either making them worse or increasing the stats/abilities on the old pets would be unfair in that it is something unexpected by players.  Rebalancing would make the newer pets (many of which were bought a premium) less relevant and unfairly reward those who kept older pets.  I would prefer if Lakoo used the open slot under the Pet for something like a Pet Charm?  This could be an item that could boost pet stats or skills.  You could have generic versions of the Pet Charms.  Some could be specifically made to increase a certain pet stat or attribute to help make the older pets more balanced and relevant (i.e. Magic Sword - Damage Charm, Ryouga - Hit Charm, etc).  This Pet Charm could be updated via Alchemy as needed as newer and better pets are released to keep old favorite pets competitive.  Another option might be Pet Fusion?  I would welcome your comments on the concept I wrote in the Suggestion section :)

Artificers are good - no question about it.  I think this is part of the reason we are seeing many top non-artificer class players adopt their weapons.  Perhaps Lakoo has some new lv60 weapons to be released for other classes/weapon types in the near future? :)  Personally, I think Blowpipes Shamans, Hunters, and especially Sword Warriors would benefit from new and better lv60 weapons.  I admire how the Artificier class has several top-end choices for weapons (emphasizing hit, damage, dodge, etc).  I wish that other weapon types had more variety.  Most players come down to Royal Sword if sword, Master Perdition Axe if axe, Tensaiga or Reverse Edge Sword D for sabre, the Promising Valor Bow for archers, and sadly nothing for Blowpipes.  I would like to see several Lv55 or Lv60 new equipment that offers some different strategy similar to what Artificers have (i.e hit, damage, dodge, etc. different weapons at lv55-60).  Don't obsolete the prior favorite weapons but supplement or increase slightly.

I like the fact that pet's auto to defend is not hindered by silence zone.  Consider this, I could equip my character with one speed with silence zone.  Every pet could no longer protect its master.  All it would take is one holy pot and every low health player would die from an aoe.  Hunters would be the best because ranged defense fairies couldn't intercept the hit before the attack occurred.  I think the pet's defend function isn't so much a skill as it represents an inate loyalty and desire to protect its master :)  I do agree that the Physical Shield (2 round) and the defense auto should work.  It is a perfectly legitimate strategy because there are many counters.  You can purify the pet (most are slow and the immune will be down for the round when it takes your damage).  Also, the pet won't be able to protect its master on the turn when it is putting up its shield.  Nothing stops the other players from using the same tactic if desired.

Pet auto defense is rediculous. I have an ax user speed 2k+. I hit at a hunter using fairy auto melee protect. Even tho the fairy speed is surely lower than me. Why my auto skill "axe throw " still can beblocked by its auto? PLEASE FIX IT ASAP

I wanted to also note something on the blue dragon vs lobo thing. Lobo skill is assist and does not miss, that is why it is 1 turn. Blue dragon skill is melee based, so it can be blocked easily or dodged altogether. Ty
