Clean up the forums!

Short and simple, if there's no right to remove the posts. Its only fair for people who want to play know the truth? unless you're so afraid that this will affect "YOUR BUSINESS". I'm ok with the posts here. even if lakoo were to remove, it will still come back ^^.

oh ya. forum is suppose to be mended by lakoo GMs. please to not get someone unrelated to Lakoo's organisation to "help you out" else me and my friends might get deleted from forum and the posts O_O"

What business are you talking about?  If you are refering to empire junkies, that is a project that comes entirely out of my own pocket.  I make pennies a day on actual ads, which may cover 1/5 of the hosting cost by the years end.

The game is doing fine right now and Lakoo is continuing to improve plus all the updates have come out.  I understand that some people need to cry about stuff a lot and that's just their nature.  I only a requested a few outdated and irrelevant posts be deleted, because games need a new population to survive.  No one needs to be deleted or censored, it just hurts the game and effects everyone playing.  If it doesn't happen, no big deal.  I am not gonna cry about it ^^

You raise an interesting point Rhastar. Part of me agrees and part disagrees. I do like to see positive, cheerful posts. At the same time, I view a forum as a place where people can share wishes and ideas (positive posts) and criticisms and concern (negative feedback). I do think negative feedback is important because while some people may voice it more strongly than I would they represent a number of people who otherwise would remain silent and move on if the issue was not address. Personally, I think Lakoo has done a good job of responding to posts given the information available to GMs. I have played and participated in a number of forums as well and the deciding factor for me was activity. A clean but "dead" forum (no recent or few posts) was not attractive. I think the fact that Lakoo does not remove older posts is a good thing. It shows the game has history and is solid. Less positive posts show that there are people passionate about the game and that the game is still going strong despite road umps in te past. I would be less incline to post either positive or negative if I knew there was a chance my posts would at some point be deemed outdated and "cleaned."

However, While I want to be able to view past history it would be nice if the bump feature was temporary. Posts are ordered by date. Perhaps a new comment raises the post for a week then let's it slide back to its spot? Instead of cleaning old posts, let them remain as a testament of the game's trials through rough times and it's continued success. I would rather focus on making new posts and discussion like this one :). I do appreciate how you always focus on the positive side of things :)

ur're thinking too much. im referring to lakoo's business. lol. irrelevant and outdated posts? u called them garbage in the other post.

are u hinting that historical knowledge are garbages as well? they cant be used as good references. i did pay attention in schools.

Agreed with Alleluia, 'fact that Lakoo does not remove older posts is a good thing. It shows the game has history and is solid'. Actually no matter the feedback is good or bad, it actually still have to remain in the forum itself. Else what do a forum for? Just to keep positive feedback? New thread only? If Lakoo going delete those old thread, it really show that Lakoo will just cover their hole like bad threads to be deleted so that new users can't see it. The fact is, Lakoo should actually defend and explain to their user about all those negative threads (but they did not). Imagine if apple.com delete their forum thread. What will happen then... People will say OMG.. The company has more than 15m+ iPhone user and their website forum is like 5k thread and most of their latest thread is like 2010 (the company start like in 1976/77). User will ask, when is the forum start actually. Guess this will explain all

Next, when you guys said the game is improving with all updates are out. Yes this is good. But not their CS team yet. Although this is non related issue (but part of it related because is about forum), but i still have to mention it here. Lakoo CS team only:

• replied to suggestions / bug report thread. (if so, why you created general, guide and strategy? - for user to share idea only? - how if there are some question that the user need the staff to reply? Lakoo predict that all their user is smart and will ask question under suggestion / bug report section?)

• too depend on some staff (no team work). (DJ is doing a good job although i know those are copypaste and amend canned answer, but at least he is doing his job. how about the rest? no team work at all. i notice few staff here like Jasmine, Calvin, Kos? They are not CS? Being or ready to get fire?)

Summary, in terms of the game yes it is improve because with the new lv60. Wait till you guys bored with it and the same thing will happen, i doubt. This forum is not improving at all to me yet because if you're talking in a professional way, i can say it with 100% confident (rhastar forum is much more better compared to here). Other than threads, number is very important in a forum, fyi. Example, total registered user, total thread, unique user, etc.. This will show how well is the company. 

Yes it's good to keep old post.

First off, it was merely a suggestion to improve the game.  A lot of serious gamers take a games forum content, especially if it's a smaller one, into serious consideration.  Serious gamers are the ones who spend buy silver, spend gold, motivate new people to play and breathe new life into the game.  I don't think entire topics need to be deleted but some posts are simply garbage, which just include whining, etc.  This game works perfect for my schedule and life cause it's on the mobile and I don't need to sit in front of a computer for hours to play, so I am going to do my part in trying to make it awesome in order to ensure it's longevity.  OR.... maybe I am just used to the lag between things happening because I once played a game that was originally Korean, and they would experience a lot of the same problems as Lakoo migrating code over etc.  

SO TO NEW PLAYERS.... if you really want to know the "truth" about if this is a game worth checking out? You will soon see that Lakoo is doing good enough job to keep most of the trolls playing - so it's worth definitely checking out.

If I didn't think the history of the game was important, do you think I would have started Empire Junkies?  It CAN definitely be used for good references, hence one reason I started the site.  I am not sure why you took offense to my post in the first place, but you tend to be the first to troll my posts - so for that, I thank you.  People say leave the old posts up, I am cool - I get your point of view.  cool

Please do not treat every post is 'garbage' unless if it is spam (which i don't see much). Most of the user posting here is good to me because it really show how they feel like good and bad about the game and the team. And of course nothing is perfect. The problem is how to deal with bad comment with best solution (yet Lakoo can't get this done until now). Some user complains such as Lakoo responsibility is not there, no updates on user comment or Lakoo not replying their user, etc. In fact it is true but yet Lakoo never reply and cover it. You can say you're busy on developing new updates on the game, but you have to know one thing, you're CS not a IT developer. So there is no excuse because game update is not related to CS at all.

Rha: i you have problem with ming in game, go inside n deal with it, stop barking around here ==

Instead of old topic, i think this topic should be deleted. It does not help either EO or forum developing. In fact, the only thing it brings here is fight, it is just annoying. To rhata: if you want a fight, come ingame n challenge SG alliance, dont just be a keyboard hero here.

Just to make things clear, I have no beef with anyone on the forum or in-game, and I didn't mean for the post to go in this direction. That wasn't the original intention of the post.  Sorry if it came out to look that way and I called some posts of garbage, didn't realize it would cause so much offense.

This post should be delete? If you said so, tell me why with reason. If you said it does not help EO or forum developing or misunderstanding communication, this is really not a good answer. As i mentioned above why forum post should not be deleted. Also try to google out what is a forum is and the power of social media.

I don't think Rhastar2 and Ming is fighting in this forum. Both of them is giving out their opinion on what to do with the forum only.

As i mentioned before, Lakoo is not taking care of their forum (only to bugs and suggestion thread). All though this thread is like a fight to someone you but yet Lakoo can settle and close this issue easily. But yet they did not do it. If Lakoo can't deal with all the threads in the forum, simple. Close it, thats all. Enquiry all go to email then and this will show that Lakoo CS team is poor as well as poor in social communication.
