Dodge calculation

Hi Lakoo,

May i know how is the dodge calculated with relation to the hit (physical, range, element, curse)? How much dodge is required to dodge the hits? Is the calculation as follow.

If i got 350 physical hit and the other player got 500 dodge means i can not hit him at all?

In cases of magic u CAN have zero hit chance but melee n range always have a chance to hit

Good question Grisser!  I've know players who have had up to around 700 dodge.  RyuFang is right there is always a minimum chance to get hit no matter the dodge.  However, that said, you have the general idea and a high dodge will make life tough for a melee or range player trying to hit you!  Try to experiment and find the optimum dodge that works for you - not too low or too high.

Does dodge applies to Magic too? Like Elem or Curse? High dodge means that I can dodge the magic attack?

No - Kai Hock -. Dodge only works for melee/range attacks. It is good in that is counter two types of attacks. To lessen the chance element attack hits as well as reduce the damage taken you should increase your element resist. Similarly, curse resist helps reduce your opponents chance of hitting with a curse.

So If I have 500 phy hit and they have 400 dodge. I have 100% to hit them?

No, just like there is always a chance to hit even if dodge is higher, there is also a chance to miss even if physical hit is higher. I've talked to players who had a scenario like you described and it seems the dodge equations is not as simple as a linear Physical Hit - Dodge. This is accurate enough for a general rule of thumb but it doesn't explain all I've seen in te game.

funny, it seems to work on me alleluia -_- perhaps there was a buff or debuff cast mid battle to alter the hit dodge ratio in those cases. Im NEVER missed in pvp unless i lower foes dodge.

It's possible. I don't think there were any buff/debuff. One had precise strike so about 450-500 hit versus 300 dodge. Even after max hit reached still about 50/50 dodge chance. Maybe the formula changes at higher amounts? I dunno lol

perhaps, im unable to test that with only 100 dodge...
